Monique Lhuillier SS2012
This was my first time at Monique‘s show, and it was everything I knew it would be. She’s an absolute wizard when it comes to corsetry and detailing. The dress below was covered in knots, which I thought was a unique take on the ruffle. My favorite though was one you’d never guess, a pink ruffled dress (seen above, bottom right) . I know what you’re saying…”a pink AND pouffy dress? That goes against everything you believe in!” But I’m telling you, it was a stunner! More pics on Facebook…
Check out the tiny photographers catching the last shot…they were so professional!

First look at 57Grand bridal line
Last night I had the distinct pleasure of getting the FIRST LOOK at 57Grand‘s new wedding dress line! I fell in love with the fabulous details like specially made French lace with sequins and adorable overlays with geometric shapes like dots and squares. Their short dresses are perfection for civil ceremonies or reception changes, and paired with EMilliner‘s hairpieces, the looks are utterly modern! The dresses are so new they haven’t even made it to the website yet, so check back later next week to see them all.

Phi-Style: Fall 2011 Tuxedo Trend
Christian Dior | Alexander Wang | Jason Wu | Prabal Gurung
Fall 2010 has brought us several trends, but one trend that has seemed to transcend among the fashion houses during New York fashion week was the black-accented tuxedo trend. Menswear is no new concept for womens fashion, but what makes this trend interesting is its applicability to bridal fashion as well.
Carolina Herrera | Vera Wang | Elizabeth Filmore | Jenny Packham
Black as applied to bridal fashion is most often seen as a sash, but why stop there? Necklaces, trim, and gloves can give your bridal look an elegant and modern twist. Femme fatale on your wedding day? Why not? - Tram from Phi-Style
