Our Save-the-Date was very simple. We chose to do the photo booth idea and to incorporate our little pup as well. We took the pictures in our bathroom and put them together in photoshop. We printed everything out at home and then I put them together one-by-one. Our only expense was the colored paper we used to back the photos and the envelopes, so it was very budget-friendly. We’ve received many compliments and love the way they turned out.

Huge fan of your blog! Wanted to pass along my save the dates as they have been my first labor of love during my wedding planning process.
My fiance Jon and I are getting married in my hometown of Buffalo. Our whole theme (if you can call it that!) is “vintage flea market.” We made all 110 STDs ourselves (yes Jon even got into our little craft project!) Each Save the Date is unique – they all feature different mini postcards of landmarks in Buffalo and each STD has a different vintage paper calendar. The calendar was cut out of a regular file folder, we printed all the calendar pages ourselves, pasted them all together and inked all the edges of everything to give it that “old” look. The mini “vintage postcards” were two sided with all of our wedding info on the backside. The postcards are affixed to the calendars with little clothespins, brass fasteners, and various other vintage clips.
They came out exactly as I had hoped – hope you enjoy them as well!!!

I was just on your blog and since you’ve been doing save-the-dates, I thought I’d send mine along as well. Our designer put together a wedding logo based on the CBGB logo and then we had black t-shirts made and put all of the hotel info on laminated tags which we attached with safety pins. They were quite a hit!
We wanted to get the word out about our holiday weekend destination wedding early. Marit Hanson‘s concert poster Save the Dates were perfect for us – setting a “not to be missed” tone from the start, and perfect for two live music-lovers! We’re still getting compliments about them.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog while planning my upcoming wedding. You have a lot of unique, creative ideas that are so refreshing amidst the wedding hoopla!
Anyway, I thought I would share our save the date. We wanted to do something quirky, and decided to have our pets pose together; the dog is my fiance’s, and the cat is mine. They are actually wearing the signs, but we Photoshopped the text onto the signs. Our guests seem to think it’s pretty fun!
