Has anyone else been noticing this trend of mixing orange, pinks, and purples? Or “OPP,” as I like to call it? At first glance, to me, it seemed to almost clash into a sherbet-colored cacophony? But the more I saw it, the more I loved the colors together. Unapologetically bright, summery, and warm. Would make great color choices for a spring or summer wedding! – Tram @ Phi-Style.com

Real wedding: Stefanie + Patrick
If you love purple, this wedding is definitely for you! Rountree Flowers did an amazing jobs with the flowers, and I especially love the escort card display…the varied heights and inclusion of little objet d’art really make it quite compelling. You could easily replicate something like it with collections from your own home!

[White +] Lavender

We’re on the cusp of Spring (fingers crossed) so I’m starting to crave happier, brighter, cooler colors. And lavender just screams Spring to me. It’s sweet, cheerful and also overtly feminine, which is not something I normally gravitate to in my everyday life. But for your wedding day, is there a more perfect time to embrace some girly details? I certainly don’t think so. – Courtney

Cozy Couple’s shower inspiration

Hello, Brooklyn Bride readers! We are so happy to be joining the crew here as guest contributors, and we’re absolutely flattered that Vané brought us on board. Since we are not expressly wedding folks, every month we’ll be cooking up a little inspiration for you for all of the other events and details that go with weddings–showers, parties, gift ideas, and other ways to make getting married more fun and less stressful (we hope). To learn more about us and what we do, you can visit our website and our blog. Let’s get to it!
Though both of us have pledged our eternal and undying love to summer, we have to admit that we’ve been caught making eyes at fall a few times. Fall has a wonderful masculinity about it. It smells like bonfires and tobacco, and is a time when we all want to adorn ourselves with argyle and tweed. In short, it’s the perfect season for a not-girly-at-all couples’ shower. Here’s our inspiration board; look for the full post tomorrow!
