Has anyone else been noticing this trend of mixing orange, pinks, and purples? Or “OPP,” as I like to call it? At first glance, to me, it seemed to almost clash into a sherbet-colored cacophony? The New Modern: Pink and Gold Fete
Happy New Year Brooklyn Bride fans! Here we are with a glamorous table for you to see. Okay, Okay – I know this has frilly pink flowers (but at least no poofy dress!). Forgive me, I just can’t resist peonies. We kept it simple with low clusters of blooms and twinkly gold votive candles. A cheap store bought house number from Home Depot was easily gold leafed for a snazzy table number. Sprinkle some sequins, throw down tulle and ribbons for a runner and you are done. Cheers! – Denise

Playful party – inspiration from Bows and Arrows
You guys might remember Alicia and her husband Adam from their real wedding feature here a few months ago. Well Alicia emailed me with this shoot she styled with her hubby at their store Bows and Arrows, and I had to show you all!
This party is inspired by sweet treats that are fun to eat and to look at! eye candy all around! On the plate are a few pink flavorful favorites including; cotton candy, Mexican pastries, sno balls and strawberry sugar wafers. Adding to the scrumptious time are clusters of fluffy flower arrangements of pink and yellow. Flowers include: peony, dusty miller, ranunculus, astilbe, dahlias, roses, hydrangea and billy balls! A few vintage touches are the milk glass for the arrangements, vintage chanel shoes, and a 1920’s craftsman style house as the setting. Handmade goodies include the felt pennants, pink veil, pompoms, table coverings and bandanna.
