Guess its true…time flies when you’re having fun!  Today marks the 5th birthday of Brooklyn Bride….what started as an online idea incubator for my own wedding has turned into so much more, and its all thanks to you, my readers!

New invitations from Paper+Cup Design

I’m super excited to share this collaboration between Brooklyn Bride and the uber-talented Minhee of Paper+Cup Design!  I was approached by MyWedding last year to team up with some invitation designers to create some modern wedding websites for couples, and matching invitations to go along with them.  Starting from scratch with just some inspiration images from me, Minhee came up with some really great designs that are super modern, brightly colored and totally fun.  Check out the full collection here….next up, we’ll be showing off the lovely matching websites!

Parcel Post for Brooklyn Bride [no. 25]

Hi there everyone at Brooklyn Bride, it’s good to be back. My inspiration this week is a Forest Fairytale kind of wedding. One of our Urbanic brides recently shared some photos with me of her wedding day and I was charmed by her use of woodland silhouettes for the table numbers and escort cards. Since I’ve been craving being outdoors in the woods lately, this was a good post to put together and vicariously live it out through!

Studio tour: Paper+Cup

What is your aesthetic?: Simple + Modern designs with a vintage twist

How does your studio style convey your professional aesthetic? We mixed vintage furniture with modern ones

Favorite part of your studio?: Our wall unit, we have a tiny space and it’s perfect to store all our paper work as well as have space for displaying our work.

Where do you go for inspiration?: Visiting flea markets, watching old movies and taking walks around the city with Tru

What tool do you use in your business that you can’t live without?: My computer and my craft tools like the xacto, ruler and cutting mat

Is there anything you’d upgrade to?: We have access to a small roof deck right outside one of our windows, I would love to fix it up so we can hang out or do some of our meetings out there.

Anything else we should know?: I’m a big pack rat and Tru is super organized, neat and tidy. I try to be that way but find it stifles my creativity! So he lives with all the scraps of paper and found objects all over the office that I consider my little treasures.
