Real wedding: Carly + Matt

I love seeing a good PUBLIC wedding…its a great modern restaurant on the lower east side with even BETTER food!  And for a chic couple like Carly + Matt, it was the perfect place to celebrate their nuptials.

Matt and I were engaged in June and we couldn’t pick a date fast enough, February 26th 2011. We live in and love Brooklyn but met in Manhattan, so at first it was hard to choose where to get married. After seeing PUBLIC and tasting the food it was an easy choice. Even though most people only traveled from Long Island or New Jersey, we wanted our wedding to be a destination for our guests; we wanted people to feel like they were going somewhere special. With no real expectations our day was absolutely perfect. It was simple and elegant and more than we could have hoped for. We were lucky enough to celebrate with our family and closest friends, and were truly able to enjoy everyone’s company. Matt and I wanted to the day to reflect who we are and what we love. We love to eat and drink and laugh.
