Bella Figura – new sample pack and design
I always love seeing what Bella Figura comes out with…for 2009, they enlisted some great new talent like Tara Hogan of Ink+Wit and Ben Whitla to design some totally hip invitations! You get awesome designs, but the same committment to the environmnt…its a win-win! To celebrate, they’ve asked a few bloggers (me included) to pick our fav 5 as sample packs. From now until January 23, you can pick up a sample pack for the reduced price of $10 and feel good knowing that 100% of that will go to charity.
I’m also excited to show you a new design that I helped inspire…called Dewdrop, its a wonderfully modern invitation that I think really embodies what Brooklyn Bride is all about. Its included in my curated sample pack, so feel free to order yourself a sample!

Parcel Post for Brooklyn Bride [no. 03]
We recently got in a custom wedding order in at Urbanic from Smock that was a phenomenal packaging experience!
Parcel Post for Brooklyn Bride [no. 02]
Lately I have been loving the color combo grey and white. It’s cool but warm, stylish and soft spoken.
Other grey and white things I heart at Urbanic are… these super cute paper coasters by Rock Scissors Paper, wrapping papers by Snow and Graham, personal stationery by Paperwink and travel candles by Paddywax.

Vendor reviews: invitations + calligraphy
Invitations: Jaime Viñas of Viñas Design
Jaime did our invitations as a favor to me since I work with his wife, and I love how they turned out! We worked together throwing around ideas, and ended up with a set that truly reflected Brooklyn, from Coney Island, to the cherry blossoms of Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Everything was very elegant, while staying very modern and crisp.
Calligraphy: Betsy Dunlap
Betsy’s calligraphy was the talk of the town once invites went out, and I was very pleased with how everything turned out! She did our outer envelopes in a custom green, which went perfectly with the ink used to print the invites. People told me they hung up the envelopes on their fridges along with the invitations, so that definitely says something! I asked her to also do our table numbers and some signage, which of course also turned out beautifully. She was a dream to work with!

Moontree Letterpress

Moontree Letterpress has been coming out with some very cool Brooklyn themed cards and notebooks [you'll remember I bought a few at the Brooklyn Flea a few weeks ago]. Her wedding invitations are equally beautiful and understated….
