Engagement shoot: Christina + Mark
Does NYC get any better than this? I think not!
I have been an avid follower of your site (one of the few great ones based in NY!) and I wanted to share his photos with you since our entire engagement session was shot around Williamsburg where we live and I feel that our photographer [Kyle Hale] has such a great eye for creating non-traditional and edgy photos with spunk & personality (much like your website, I must say
.
My fiance and I are getting married in Iceland next June (my fiance is British and we both live in New York, so we figured that Iceland, being just about the only country which existed between the two sides of the Atlantic and a place that we had always wanted to visit) would be the perfect (albeit somewhat surprising!) location for a destination wedding. We have somehow managed to convince Kyle to come with

Gorgeous engagement shoot out in the fields by The Parsons…

Engagement shoot: Laureen + Colum
Brides, take note, this is an AWESOME idea for your engagement shoot…forget the balloons and go for a full on photoshoot! Seriously, why not?? I asked Robert last summer during the Pop-up Chapel if he would be interested in raffling off something, and this amazing shoot is what he came up with! I love the idea of having a stylist involved…it really adds something to the photos, don’t you think?
Laureen and Colum were the winners of our engagement shoot during the Brooklyn Pop-Up Wedding Series, and instead of just taking traditional portraits I thought it would be fun to invite Natalie and Indira from éventus Planning to work together with me and style the shoot. It took place around the West Village/Meatpacking District, which is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city for portraits because the cobblestone streets make a great NYC backdrop, and the Highline and the Hudson River are gorgeous at sunset. You rarely see flowers in engagement photos so Indira designed a casual bouquet for Laureen while we walked through the Highline. By far the most fun part of the shoot was the lovely picnic that the girls from éventus set up for us on the Westside Piers. Laureen and Colum love the water and it was the perfect way to end the afternoon.

Engagement shoot: Irina + Robb
This engagement shoot was a really refreshing change from the one I usually see shot in Brooklyn…you can’t always get shots done at the Tobacco Warehouse so these were particularly nice to see!
I would frame this one in a second…an amazing shot featuring the lesser photographed Manhattan Bridge.
I love this one shot in the reflection…make a rainy day not so bad after all.
I’m a sucker for shoots including pets, ESPECIALLY Frenchies!

Engagement shoot: Melody + Ted
These shots of Melody and Ted are just so genuine…I especially love the umbrella photo (caught at just the right moment!) above and the shots below.
