Cozy Couple’s Shower

We hope you’ll like looking at this shower as much as we liked throwing it. The lovebirds you see here are Mike and Amber, two of our wonderful friends. They just got engaged (congrats, you crazy kids!), and we thought it would be fun to feature them in a few of our posts as they start their wedding planning.

For this shoot, we wanted to put autumn on par with summer as the go-to season for romantic soirees. When we were planning it, we kept coming back to the word “cozy,” but still wanted to maintain a celebratory feel that didn’t feel like a holiday display at Macy’s. We whipped up our inspiration board in plums and neutrals, and we knew we were on the right track. On the day of, joined by the astoundingly talented Trent Bailey, we shined up our prettiest cake plates, packed up our coziest sweaters, and and hightailed it out of the city for this cozy couples’ shower.
