So far we’ve covered sweet & savory foodie items perfect for any Brooklyn themed out of town gift bag, now for some more ideas for the actual tote! Going custom would be awesome too, but if there’s no budget, these are some great readymade options.
PS. Remember my wedding totes? Erica from Thoughtful Day designed them and I still love ‘em!
So last time we started with the savory, lets finish off with the sweet shall we? I’d recommend mixing items from both to get a good balance!
1. Spoonable Brooklyn butterscotch | 2. Salty Road Taffy | 3. Momofuko birthday truffles | 4. Nunu Chocolates | 5. The Good Batch | 6. Mast Brothers Brooklyn blend | 7. Liddabit Sweets | 8. Whimsy & Spice marshmallows | 9. Raaka | 10. Brooklyn tote

Sometimes I get requests for stuff to put in out of town giftbags for weddings, and one thing I know about giftbags is that they HAVE to have some yummy stuff in them. With Brooklyn weddings especially, its easy because we’ve got some great artisanal vendors all around us, so today I thought I’d share a foodie giftbag with you to help get you started. All of these items are on the more savory side, next time I’ll share with you the sweet stuff!
This super chic wedding in the park proves that with minimal decor and lots of heart, you’ve got a winning combination for the perfect wedding!
From the photographer:
On a late summer day in Brooklyn, two people made a pact to love and respect one another for the rest of their lives. On September 1st, Shani & Lauren were legally joined in matrimony overlooking the Audubon center in Prospect Park, after having eloped in Paris earlier in the summer. After the ceremony, the pair perused the Brooklyn flea on the their way to 606 R&D to cool off with summertime spritzers. The newlyweds were received by an intimate reception where spontaneity ruled and the atmosphere was connected. Chatter and laughter could be heard as guests dined on delicious local, organic, gluten-free foods. They were serenaded by one of their close friends, who sang a euphoric acappella rendition of A Thousand Years. As the sun set, the day was capped off with a stroll home through the streets of Brooklyn.
Catering/restaurant: 606 R&D
Cake: Tulu’s Gluten Free bakery
Dresses: (Lauren’s) hot pink dress-Saks, (Shani’s) brown/black geometric dress- O.N.A., Brooklyn
Ceremony Venue: Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Jewelery: super minimal/our own, Shani’s bracelet is from Catbird in Brooklyn
Flowers: local grocery (:
