MY inspiration board

I haven’t really shared too much about our wedding, so today I want to show you my own inspiration board. We’re getting married next April at Stage 6 in Steiner Studios, and while we’re having a fairly formal affair, since I’m an interior designer and Chad’s an architect, we definitely wanted to have some fun and tone down the seriousness a bit. Most of that will come through our color palette of green and white with hints of yellow, and little touches here and there [still TBD for the most part]. We’re definitely not the frou-frou type, so everything we do we try to keep very architectural and clean, right down to the cake.

I’m going to leave you with these images to mull over for the weekend while I enjoy the weather, but if you have any questions about specific images or ideas we’re going with, let me know.

New color combos

I’ve started diving into my inspiration books, looking for some new stuff from years and magazines past. I found these images from an old Martha Stewart that I remember being obsessed over, not because I like lettuce, but because the color combinations were absolutely incredible. The deep greens, teal blue and shots of red are a really different but great combo.

Real wedding: Jill + Jim

Jill and Jim‘s wedding just goes to show you dont need fancy colors or extra hoopla to make your wedding modern and sleek. Great fonts and simplicity go a long way.

Beautifully organic jewelry from Ten Thousand Things…sometimes I just walk into their store on 14th Street and just drool on the display cases. They’re stuff is just that…damn…good.
