We’re on the cusp of Spring (fingers crossed) so I’m starting to crave happier, brighter, cooler colors. And lavender just screams Spring to me. It’s sweet, cheerful and also overtly feminine, which is not something I normally gravitate to in my everyday life. But for your wedding day, is there a more perfect time to embrace some girly details? I certainly don’t think so. – Courtney

I’ve never been to Greece, but the palette of white + cobalt always brings to mind the iconic coastal architecture, with its crisp white exteriors and vibrant blue roofs. And while it fits right in with that balmy environment, it’s such a classic combination that it would work at any time of the year.

I love sneak peeks, especially when they’re of super cool couples like Corinne (of Handle & Spout fame!) and Eoin. They’re coming up on their 1 year anniversary this week and have made it into the newest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings!

I’m so happy to introduce you to the newest contributor to Brooklyn Bride, Courtney of Seamless Paperie! I’ve been in love with her inspiration boards ever since seeing them on her blog, Head vs. Heart, and every week she’ll be dropping by with some especially modern ones just for you. Aren’t you excited??? Welcome Courtney!
Hello Brooklyn Bride readers! I’ve been a reader and fan of this blog since before I got engaged, so I am incredibly excited to be here. Each week, I’ll be featuring an inspiration board that features inspiration based on a color palette of white plus one additional color. That way you can start with white basics and layer in colored accents to create an event that pops. And to help you turn the inspiration into reality, I’ll also be including a series links to products that fall into that color scheme.
For this first week, it seemed perfectly appropriate to start with the fresh, clean palette of White + Lime. Enjoy!
