Lots of Love shoot
What started as a simple styled shoot on the beach in Portugal turned into a real engagement! Doesn’t get more romantic than that….how special to have it all caught on film!

WINK inspiration shoot
So I’m finally (kinda) back from all my travels the last few weeks….thanks so much to all my guest bloggers who covered for me! I’m still catching up on emails and plan on sharing some photos, but wanted to share this awesome styled shoot that was sent to me by KIM+PHIL Photography. I love this modern take on the traditional wedding! From the colors to the shapes, to incorporating kids, it all just screams fun!
WINK takes a modern perspective on the traditional wedding. Our inspiration is based off of Lindsay Zogas of Paper Bloom’s, charismatic personality—colorful + effervescent + loving + colors. We transformed these aspects into every component for the design of the shoot. Using bold colors to bring a new spin on traditional wedding attire. Incorporating graphically charged the decor and paper products with an assortment of font- types and patterns to bring in Lindsay’s passion for design. While featuring some playful children and games to integrate Lindsay’s values about home and family.
Guest post: Color inspiration from City Sage
Anne is pretty damn awesome if you ask me…loving this travel and color inspired board she’s come up with!
My last vacation? It was my Hawaiian honeymoon, and it was longer ago than I care to admit. Let’s just say that I’m more than overdue for a getaway, shall we? I’m thinking something in the south of Europe–Greece, the Riviera, or the Amalfi Coast. But really anywhere with sparkling blue waters, cool breezes, and hot sunshine will do!

Guest post: Neon geometric inspiration from The Knotty Bride
If you like a little hilarity with your wedding inspiration, Alison over at The Knotty Bride is the place for you!
Hi friendlies! Alison here. The plan is to inspire the crap out of your faces today with some colorful , so put your inspiration helmets on and buckle up.
I dig Vané of Brooklyn Bride because she offer something very unique; wedding and event inspiration and design that boasts a cool, modern edge. So I tried my hand at gathering together some modern-ish style and know what I found gets *my* heart pumping; here’s hoping it has a similar effect on yours.
The decor inspo I gathered has everything to do with two trends I’m positively consumed by right now. I love the geometric trend, and I’m getting a real kick out of the neon trend. I know I’m just one of a buttload of kids out there obsessed with those two things, but that’s never stopped me from adoring something before.
Seems to make sense that if something becomes a trend it’s because enough people enjoyed the f**k out of it in its beginnings to cause it to spread like wildfire. AMIRITE? Ok putting the trend-following apologist in me aside, I’m really glad to have been able to share some of my fave finds within those two styles and hopefully I’ve inspired the trendster inside of you.
xoxo! - Alison (The Knotty Bride)
