Who knew such loveliness was coming from the Brooklyn Navy Yards?  Check out the rest of Blossom & Branch‘s work on their newly revamped website…

And don’t forget, for those of you doing the card swap, cards need to be mailed by Tuesday, Dec. 15.  If you haven’t included a recipe with your card, you can email me with it and I’ll be putting together a pdf to send to all participants with the recipes!

I popped in over at Seaport Flowers over the weekend to get myself some pretty flowers, and Amanda mentioned she had discovered a twin sister florist team called Leif out in Utah…how beautifully organic are their arrangements?

Bridal Buzz

Check out last week’s post over at Bridal Buzz…Jessy at Fleurs helped me out with a great look at decor options that “gasp” require very little flowers!  Thanks Jessy!

NY Mag Wedding recap

This year was my third round of the NY Magazine Wedding Event, and it could possibly be the best one yet!  More vendors, BETTER vendors, but space to walk around…all add up to a successful event.  Here are some of my favorites from last night….

Yummy truffles from Taste Caterers….I loved the way they presented them.

Lots of gorgeous gowns as you walked in…

Mel Barlow talking to a bride on the left, Crave Catering display on the right.  Veggies never looked so good!

Yummy mini milkshakes from Mary Giuliani Catering….

Karen Cunningham‘s completely coordinated table!  That church shot is one of my favorites.

Happiness abounds at Jenny Ebert‘s table, designed by Barb at Hatch Creative.  Those flowers were crazy cool.

Beautiful arrangement from the geniuses over at Takashimaya…so good to reconnect with my old middle school buddy Peter who is now their Creative Director!

The Wedding Party recap

This weekend Anne and I hit the Wedding Party event at the Palace Hotel, sponsored by the Wedding Library and Elegant Bride magazine.  It was a great chance to catch up with all my favorite vendors, and discover a couple of new ones at the same time.  Above are some dresses from Lela Rose’s Amsale‘s new bridesmaids line.

These dresses were a sight to see! Designed by British designer Sam Walls Beasley of Samuelle [who is now located in Brooklyn!!], each dress is completely couture…she will work with you from the very beginning to design a gorgeous, custom made wedding dress that no one else will have!

The fabulous dessert table by Amy Atlas Events and a sneak peak at a cake from One Girl Cookies…the piping and blue color were so precious!

Invitations above by Paper+Cup Designs…I always love seeing them in person and getting to get a real sense of all the special little details that go into each one.  Below is Mr. Boddington‘s maypole of gorgeousness.

Flowers above by Blade….a perfect arrangement yellow and grey, and below some striking jewel tones by Fleurs.
