I think most of you by now are pretty obsessed with Pinterest, and you KNOW I am, so I wanted to introduce you to a new way to shop called Luvocracy! Its essentially an online shop curated by tastemakers from around the web, and I’m so happy to have been invited to be one of them. You’ll see my picks from beauty to baby, furniture to fashion, and lots in between (including weddings!)…its actually been kinda nice to have a place to put all the non-weddingy stuff that I love and be able to work in some of my interior design day job into the mix. The best part is you plug in your credit card once and will never have to put it in again no matter what you’re buying as long as its on Luvocracy. They’ll also take care of returns if it doesn’t work out, and will find it at another shop if its sold out….they’re like your personal shopping concierge (especially great now that the holidays are around the corner)! Best part is, when you join and start creating boards of your own, you’ll have a chance to make commissions on anything people buy from your recommendations!
Currently its invite only, but click here to get hooked up!

THE CARD SWAP IS NOW CLOSED!
Its November, so you know what that means….time to sign up for the SIXTH annual holiday card swap!
In true card swap tradition, I asked a talented designer to design the logo for this years card swap, so a HUGE thank you to Erin Jang of The Indigo Bunting! I’m so jealous of her mad graphics skills so I’m thrilled she was able to do this years logo!
Here are the rules:
Send an email to me at brooklynbride [at] gmail [dot] com with Holiday Card Swap in the subject line by November 21 [day before Thanksgiving]. Include your name, address, email address, website/blog address and twitter handle [if you have these]. Please send your email in this format…
123 Main St. #25
Anytown NY 12345
- By December 1, I will have emailed you the names and addresses of up to 5 people to send cards to.
- Your cards must be handmade or self-designed [think Gocco, glitter, Photoshop, cut + paste, sewing, etc....] Make something that’s easy to do multiples of. You’ll be sending 1 card to each person on your list, and add in a special holiday greeting!
- Send out your cards by December 15 at the latest! Easy peezy!
Wait patiently by your mailbox! The swap is open to our international audience, so pay special attention to postage. Please don’t disappoint your partners if you know you won’t be able to send out cards on time, or at all.
Sorry for the delay in announcing the Minted winners last week….I was in San Francisco for a wedding and didn’t have a chance to pick, so here they are! Congrats! We’ll be passing your emails along to Minted.
