And though not wedding related in the least, I had to throw in my cousins new book, Paris vs. New York by Vahram Muratyan!

Find our Wedding Style couple search

Brides New York is looking for an engaged couple in  the NY/NJ/CT area for their Find Our Wedding Style feature.  You might remember our apartment was featured last year, and I can tell you first hand its totally fun!  If you’re interested, read on.

FindOurStyle1 copy

We photograph an engaged couple’s apartment. Based on elements from their home (furniture, wall décor, knick knacks, etc.) we create ideas for their wedding. The couple is not required to use any of our ideas, and it’s okay if they already have elements of their wedding in place. The purpose of the story is to show readers how items from their day to day life can inspire great ideas, and how their interior design aesthetic can be translated into wedding details. No fancy digs needed—what I’m looking for is a distinct style we’ll have fun working with. All that’s required from the couple is an afternoon for our team to come
over and take photos.

If you know of any interested couples, please have them email me at leigh_crandall@condenast.com. They should include the following in the email:
-names
-wedding date
-wedding location
-any thoughts they already have about their wedding
-a brief description about what they feel their style is
-five to seven photos of their home (a few wide shots and close ups of any details they feel are particularly “them”) so we can get of what their living space is like
-one or two pictures of themselves

I would love to have submissions by Monday, August 24th.

Bridal Buzz

Check out last week’s post over at Bridal Buzz…Jessy at Fleurs helped me out with a great look at decor options that “gasp” require very little flowers!  Thanks Jessy!

Recaps

I’ve got my recap of last weeks Brooklyn Popup Wedding Series going up at the Bride’s Guide, so check it out to get the scoop of the events.  This week the Martha Stewart Weddings Chapel will be in full swing, with the fabulous free wedding happening on Thursday!  I’m so excited to see how its going to turn out!

Also, check out my blog over at WEtv.com where I discussed out of town giftbags for your guests.  It was fun to remember back to when Chad and I were slaving away putting them together.
