Photo favorites: Sarah Sloboda…part 2

Sarah has a new favorite and wanted to share! How could I deny her?

This shot was taken at the Metropolitan Building in Queens. I just
love how this couple meshed style and elegance with the shabby chic
environment of their venue. The formality of their pose is a cool
juxtaposition to the busy-ness of their backdrop. Also, you can see a
hint of silliness in their smiles beneath this “serious” formal
portrait. It’s a shot that really makes you want to know more about
them.

Bridal shoot: Amanda + Matthew

Amanda and Matthew are fellow Brooklynites that are getting married next year in Detroit, but took some awesome shots in and around DUMBO thanks to their photographer Jessica Johnson. They actually took their bridal session photos in full gear, and plan on displaying them at the wedding. Amanda’s Knot bio has some great images, so check it out. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!

There are moments when I am looking through the lens and I cant help but thinking …”wow they are so amazingly happy”. Jocelyn and Michael were married last summer on Cape Cod. It had rained the day before, the light was saturated and beautiful…all was perfect. Then the gnats came. Little tiny bites were attaching every inch of exposed flesh and here stood Jocelyn and Michael in the thick of it, as if without a care in the world..they had just gotten married and they are of the happiest people on earth.
