Real Simple event recap

Whew, I did NOT expect the turnout at the Real Simple event that ended up showing up….the line was wrapped around the block just to get in! Lots of couples, just so excited to start registering and seeing the little vignettes set up…very cute to see for a seasoned engaged lady like myself, but other than that, not much else. I didn’t end up staying much past 7:30p, having already met up with fellow blogger Anne from perfect bound and chit-chatting it up on the second floor couches (had a blast by the way!), so I can’t say what went on afterwards, but I did think there would at least be some speeches or question and answer periods with the editors. Unfortunately, either I missed it or it just didn’t happen.

HOWEVER, there were super cute models serving delicious food and drink (yum for all the senses!), beautiful tables set up in pure Real Simple style, and on display, the wedding dresses of married Real Simple staffers….a very nice touch. All in all, a nice event for the newly engaged!

The Wedding Library: Wedding Party!

Just wanted to let you all know about the Wedding Party that The Wedding Library and Martha Stewart Weddings is hosting Saturday, January 26 from 11am – 4:30pm. The creme de la creme will be in attendance for you to meet and mingle with, including Reem Acra, Darcy Miller, Preston Bailey and Mark Ingram….but the vendor showcase has so much more, like my favorites April Reed and Matthew Robbins of Artfool, just to name a few!
