Wedding Crashers Planning 101

Our second salon, Wedding Planning 101 on February 27, will help couples pull off their nuptials in style.

Questions about planning, budget, trends, gay and straight wedding etiquette will be fielded by our panel of seasoned experts, including Vané Broussard of Brooklyn Bride, Chef Rossi of The Raging Skillet, event and floral designer Kerry Quade, invitation maven Melinda Morris of PostScript Brooklyn and Lion in the Sun and Ara Farnam of Rock Paper Scissors Events. Anne Chertoff, whose wedding planning and style advice has been featured on hundreds of websites, magazines and newspapers, will moderate, Kerry Quade and Patina Vintage Rentals will be creating several looks at the event to inspire you, Betty Brooklyn will be serving light bites and Wright & Goebel Wine & Spirits will be pouring wine.

Tickets are $15 per couple/two friends, $10 for individuals.

Wedding Crashers trunk show

In advance of Wedding Crashers this year, we’re debuting two salons at The Green Building. The first is a Wedding Trunk Show next Wednesday, February 20 from 7-9pm for brides and grooms-to-be, and the fabulous people in their wedding party. Guests will find one-of-a-kind looks from indie gown, suit, jewelry, veil, fascinator and other accessories designers including Page Sargisson, Graham Withers, and Schone Design, get styling advice from Stone Fox Bride and make up demos from NYC Faces, and try food from The Cleaver Co. and wine from The Greene Grape.

The Green Building will also be opening up their “trunk” of decor from previous weddings for guests to carry away what they wish. And we’ll have a special raffle of prizes from Butter By Nadia, CHROMATICgallerie, and Stone Fox Bride.

Tickets are $15 per couple/two friends, $10 for individuals.

Wedding Crashers

On March 10, the city’s best wedding fair, Wedding Crashers, returns to The Green Building from noon to 4pm, with 50 fabulous food, invitation, floral, photography, and event design vendors, as well as other wedding pros, followed by an after-party at the Bell House where you can hear live wedding bands and ensembles, and sample more great food and drink. Whether your vision involves a food truck, a raw bar, Brooklyn-inspired invites, handcrafted rings, an indie rock cover band or a sustainably-farmed bouquet, we tightly curate Wedding Crashers to showcase the most original, kick-ass vendors in New York.

Before the fair, you’ll also want to attend one or both of our brand-new wedding salons Wednesday nights at The Green Building designed just for the bride- and groom-to-be.
