Megan from La Partie Events sent me this beautiful tablescape to share with all of you…I love the use of the graphic fabric as a tablecloth and then using various succulents in lieu of flowers…its fresh, fun, and your guests can each walk away with one as a favor!

Save the Date: Amber + Nate

I have a friend who owns Skidmore Inc (http://www.skidmorestudio.com/we/index.html). – a creative agency in Royal Oak, MI.  She had one of her designers mock up this save the date for us.  The designers name is Libby Cole and she is available for freelance work (libby.cole@gmail.com) – we loved being recognized as “the couple on the fridge” by friends of friends as we made our way to the big day.

Save the Date: Lynnea + Nathan

IsonWedding-SaveDate

IsonWedding-SaveDate-back

Since every Save the Date I have received so far from friends has been a magnet, I wanted to create something unique and larger, yet simple and chic that would really pop if our guests chose to put it up on their fridge. Our colors were be the ever popular black, white, and green, and the green was a natural choice to flood over the whole piece. It’s actually the Pantone that exactly matches my wedding shoes (my first purchase for the wedding)! My fiance and I had been dating 8 years, so I couldn’t resist having the headline read “Nathan and Lynnea are (finally) getting married!” as a joke on my initial layouts. Nathan thought it was funny, so it made it on to the final piece. We’re not a very formal couple, so the little touch of humor really suits us. The finishing element was the stamps which were a subtle way to make it extra personal by incorporating our smiling faces, and I justified the expense because they were on a postcard and not an envelope that would be immediately thrown away. Hope you like!

And with that, I’ve got to close up submissions for save the dates…lots of other things that have been put on the backburner in the meanwhile, so I’ll let you know when the next Save the Date will be!  Thanks to everyone who shared!

Save the Date: Elise

We’ve been together for over seven years and have always loving taking photobooth pictures. We have a book of over 45 different strips, both color and b+w, which have been taken all over the country. Because of this, we decided to incorporate some of our favorites into the design. Of course we will be having a digital photobooth at our wedding ala Our Labor of Love.
