Guess what day it is!

Its definitely a rainbow kinda day…Brooklyn Bride is 3 years old today! How time flies when you’re having fun, right?? I’ve got some fun stuff happening this year so bear with me while it takes shape!
[I had torn out this image from a magazine YEARS ago and have been holding on to it ever since...if you know where its from, please let me know! I feel like it was an old issue of Jane Magazine?]

I don’t know what magazine it’s from but I believe that is a creation of the inimitable Alexander McQueen. RIP.

Happy blog birthday! Reading all these wedding blogs inspired me to start my own, though to be fair, it’s mostly because no one wants to hear about weddings as I want to talk about them.

Happy blog birthday! I’ve been reading probably since day one of your blog and I’ve always found such great inspiration here.
I don’t know what magazine that image is from, but I DO know that it’s Alexander McQueen’s iconic Oyster dress from his spring/summer 2003 collection. Funnily, that dress – the rainbow one, not the sandy one – was my dream wedding dress. I never wanted to wear a white dress. I fell in love with the Rainbow Oyster dress in 2003 but unfortunately my budget for my wedding last year didn’t really allow for a limited-edition couture gown
(Although I did wear a one-shouldered violet and magenta gown with a ruffly/swirly skirt!)

Happy Birthday! I saw this image recently in the April issue of NYLON magazine. In the article it said that the image was originally used in March 2003 issue of NYLON. Hope this helps.
