Engagement shoot: Sara + Dave

I kinda like that these pictures hover over the line between engagement shoot and couples boudoir session…what are your thoughts?

I love these photos! The line is a little blurry, whether it’s an engagement shoot, boudoir, or even an editorial, and I love it. Really beautiful photography paired with intimate posing. It’s so personal and seems like it speaks true to the couple. Great share!

Wow. I think I need a cigarette.

I love these photos. I feel like it truly shows such a unique and fun relationship. They’re so adorable and sexy together. I love ‘em!

Artistically, these are undeniably excellent. As engagement photos, however, they’re completely inappropriate. Imagine showing these to an 80-year-old great aunt!

I LOVE the first 4. Fun. Flirty. Sexy. Really speaks to what a fun couple they must be.
The others are kinda ‘eh’ for me. I wondered if it was even the same couple?

I love these shots. They aren’t ones I would share with the world, though. Your grandmother doesn’t want to see this. But, for the couple to have in their home…GO FOR IT!

how on earth could these be used as engagement photos? I can’t imagine showing these photos to my parents! they’re great shots, just completely inappropriate for family, friends, co-workers to see. LOL

Totally sexy and great shots. Not something I’d do with my boy though – even if I would like to see the shock on my daddy’s face.

I like the shots, but they are not what I would ever use as e-pics. Especially the last one in undies!

YES! Oh yes!
Your grandma has had sex. She can handle these. I’d probably use a tamer one for the Save-the-Date magnets, but these are nothing I’d hide from grandma!

that last picture is amazing
i have no idea why anyone would think this is inappropriate. a couple in love wants to commemorate the love. what’s wrong with that? there is no set “function” that has to be filled by this set of pictures. what a waste of time to worry about co-workers and daddy and magnets.

i’m really not a fan of the engagement photo in general. ive yet to see one come in the mail that I really liked and didn’t think was completely cheesy and contrived, some of these are too–barefoot, straddling your boyfriend on the sidewalk/on a scooter? a bunch of these are great photos for a couple to have, they are lovely and intimate, but should definitely not be sent out on a save the date? how bizarre it would be to receive a faceless, blurry photo of a couple making out. I think the 3rd one could be sweet and appropriate for a save the date.
