Ever since getting into this crazy world of wedding blogging, there’s been one event thats a definite go to for everyone in the industry after bridal fashion week, and thats the Martha Stewart Weddings party. This year they’re celebrating their 15th anniversary with a huge bash at the Plaza Hotel, and I’m excited to say that I have 2 pairs of tickets to give away! The party is October 19th at 6pm, so if you’re interested in attending this fabulous event, leave a comment below with how MSW has helped you with your wedding planning, and 2 people will be picked at random on Monday, October 12. Good luck!

The first time I went to MSW website, I expected to leave right away because everything would be for a pretty princess bride with $50,000 to spend. That was not the case. I was pleasantly surprised to find practical tips, including how to keep costs down. That site had a number of topical tips that I’m checking back with over and over again!

I subscribed to MSW when I was in junior high, so by the the time my friends started to get married, I had a large crate full of magazines to share with them, which every bride reported as being extremely helpful. Now that I’m getting married myself, I have so much of that material committed to memory and can’t wait to use some of the ideas in my own wedding (I’ll be embossing velvet ribbon, for instance, and making tissue paper flowers).

MSW website has all the fun tips and ideas for someone like me. I plan to be really hands on with my wedding since we are on a tight budget so any help is wonderful. All the diy arts and crafts are simple and beautiful and will look fantastic on my wedding day!

I am a wedding planner and Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine and website have proved to be a constant source on information and inspiration for each wedding I plan. We I am looking for an image to show a bride of an idea I have, I can usually find something helpful in the pages of her magazine or on the site. I am constantly looking forward to what the Weddings staff will come up with next, as I anxiously await the next issue. For me, Martha Stewart weddings enhances my creativity!
October 6th, 2009 at 11:06 am
I started reading MSW way before I was engaged just because it had such great ideas for any party and really pretty crafts. Now that I am engaged, I use it for everything, especially flower and table setting ideas. Though probably my favorite thing I ever used the mag for was to copy a wedding cake into a smaller version and use it for a birthday cake for my grandmother. Many of the more extravagant ideas are so beautiful that they still look stylish when used for inspiration for something on a smaller scale.

I subscribed to MSW for the year before my wedding for advice, inspriation and so much more, and kept it up for two years following. I still pick up new issues several times a year to keep up with wedding trends (I’m in the invitation business now) and love their beautiful spreads.

I was engaged at 9:00pm. At 9:10 I was dragging my future hubby to ‘Borders’ to purchase my first wedding magazine, of course it was MSW. As I flipped through the pages I was encouraged by the pictures, planner and oh so many ideas. I devoured this as if it were the last chocolate-chip cookie ever to be produced. I became such a fixture that I left my name so I could be called each time a new issue arrived. Throughout my entire wedding process I read other magazines, but always came back to MSW. There was a comfort and a sense that she was speaking directly to me. We shared the same vision for that special day. After I got married I continued to buy the magazine (Hubby just laughed and then purchased a subscription for my Christmas stocking). Now as a consultant, I give my girls an issue of MSW if they don’t have one already. I also show them my very own ‘wedding’ issue – the ones I saved during my wedding process. Yes they are a bit tattered at the edges, but as I treasure my new hubby, I treasure those issues and everyone happily ever after.
It would be an amazing honor and privilege to be apart of this event and I hope you choose me.
October 6th, 2009 at 11:31 am
I found so many great ideas in MSW magazine, but my favorite was the mini accordion fold ceremony programs. I used what I found in the magazine and online and made it my own, and it was one of my favorite DIY projects from our day!
October 6th, 2009 at 11:42 am
When I was planning my wedding “waaay back” in 2003, there were hardly any wedding websites and blogs like there are now and Martha Stewart Weddings was my bread and butter! I’m now in the “old and married” club, but definitely still buy the magazine and continue to be inspired. Crossing my fingers
October 6th, 2009 at 11:54 am
I’m do custom wedding invites and I always looked at MSW online because I love wedding stuff and always dreamed of when I got to plan mine. It is such a good resource to see DIY projects, and to see amazing inspiration for your own wedding. I have a collection of the magazines because there is always beautiful work out there that I must keep up on! Just everything about MSW is a great inspiration for people in the field and brides planning weddings. LOVE IT…and if I were to EVER win a giveaway THIS IS THE ONE. Oh my god do i want to go!
October 6th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
LOVE MSW!! I look forward to it every month and dedicate my whole night to curling up and reading it cover to cover (twice). It is such a beautiful, well put together publication that my only complaint is I want to do it all! I’m contemplating starting a blog and having everything in my wedding (favors, invitations, cakes) be Martha Stewart DIY or inspiration… a girl can dream!
October 6th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Crazy about Martha Stewart Weddings. I have ripped out inspirations pictures forevery (years before I got engaged) and am delighted to have a wedding to plan and put them to good use. It is the perfect mix of the practical (how to create crepe paper flowers, the website’s budget tracker) and aspirational (last issue’s paper-lovely St. Louis wedding, this issue’s Savannah style wedding for Grace and Aaron). Though I will miss Modern Bride, as long as I have MSW, I will be okay!
October 6th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Martha Stewart Weddings was the first wedding magazine I got! It was a gift from one of my best friends because it had helped her pick her color scheme for the wedding. It has such a good meaning in our wedding planning process because of that. The MSW website has helped me to visualize my color palette. It has also helped to keep me incredibly grounded amidst the endless possibilities a wedding can become. It is such great inspiration and I think I’ll still read it after I’m married, just for good party planning ideas!
October 6th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
MSW has been the biggest inspiration for my wedding. All of her florals and DIY’s made my own DIY list longer than ever imagined!
October 6th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
The night I got engaged my maid of honor gave me a Martha Stewart wedding planner which I love and use constantly to keep organized. I also never miss an issue of the MSW magazine! They have great DIY projects and I’m using some of the ideas to create my escort cards and programs.
October 6th, 2009 at 1:30 pm
MSW was the BIGGEST source of inspiration for my total DIY wedding – i still have each issue that i used to plan my wedding with almost 6 years ago – complete with all of the ‘taggies’ sticking out of the pages from which I took inspiration. I’ve kept them around all these years, because i dreamed of the day I might work in the wedding field professionally. I am so happy to be starting on the path to make that dream a reality as a wedding event designer – I continue to purchase the wedding magazines for a source of inspiration – and to help my little sister plan her event for next year as her matron of honour! oh and my little brother just moved to nyc – gosh i’d love to visit!
October 6th, 2009 at 1:35 pm
I remember being a little girl and coming across “Weddings by Martha Stewart” book from 1987 on the public library shelves, and immediately idolizing the massive amounts of tulle and buttercream! When it came to be my turn to plan my wedding, I made a beeline to buy “Martha Stewart’s Keepsake Wedding Planner”, as no other binder would cut it. Still now that I own my own business, I turn to ALL MS products for inspiration, especially Martha Stewart’s Weddings magazine. I love the checklists and budget worksheets as I aspire to be as organized and put together as Ms. Martha.
October 6th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
MSW was one of the first magazines I read when I got engaged, and it was where I first saw the invitations that inspired our color scheme. And Martha’s online tools are so much more useful than those on other bridal websites. Right now I’m loving the guest list and budget tracker tools!
October 6th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
MSW = class, good taste, savy, elegance, charm, creativity, personality, whimsy, drama, STYLE, smart, thoughtful, inspirational, eye-candy…What else can I say?
October 6th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
I love the diy decor ideas, along with the gorgeous tablescapes and invites they photograph. So inspiring!
October 6th, 2009 at 3:28 pm
As soon as I was engaged I bought MSW magazine, and I signed up to receive a wedding tip email each day. I also visit her site everyday, and am constantly finding beautiful, inspiring, and creative ideas.
October 6th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
The Martha Stewart website provided the inspiration for our wedding colors — light/baby blue and emerald green — which were carried throughout all of our printed materials from the save the dates to the programs and menus. So far the reaction from our guests has been tremendous – they think that our choice is so original and unexpected.
October 6th, 2009 at 5:05 pm
I was flipping through a MSW magazine this spring/summer and saw a bridesmaid gift idea of a necklace with the b-maid’s birthstone…before that i hadn’t really found anything that i really liked, i decided to go with it and everyone loved it..
October 6th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
MSW all the way! I subscribe to both Weddings and Living and both provide endless inspiration. I love all the DIY details from decor to invitations and even recipes! MSW inspired everything from our invitations to favors. We adapted MSW’s tea and cookies idea for our favors. And I’ve been obsessed with baker’s twine ever since it appeared in one of the Real Weddings features I discovered when I first got engaged. Needless to say, I can’t get enough of anything Martha Stewart related!
October 6th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Martha Stewart Weddings helps me plan for all of the many dream weddings I have in my head. From my own “Virginia” wedding coming up in July with handmade cootie catchers to the dreams of a black tie affair in the middle of winter with golden branch chandeliers, my imagination runs wild when I open my mailbox to find a new Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. The editors have thought of everything.
October 6th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
I quite literally have been using MSW for inspiration for the past 13 years, not kidding. In college I had an obsession with the photos in MSW (as we all know, they are ever-gorgeous) and insisted upon ripping them out of my magazines and plastering them around my dorm room, which I must say was much more aesthetically pleasing than your standard wallpaper border. My college roommate might have disagreed with me at the time, but since then, she’s gotten married (this past June) and we’ve both become devotees of MSW to the core. Needless to say, I’ve saved my MSW dormroom border and use it inspiration to this day as I now plan my own weddding in Oct 2010. Thank you MSW.
October 7th, 2009 at 12:22 am
It has been great to start indulge all my crafting desires while planning my wedding! so far, Martha has helped me most in discovering tools like the xyron sticker makers and jumbo paper punches. Those are pretty basic tools for seasoned DIY-ers, but I had never researched it before, despite my love of making things. Can not wait to keep this trend alive long after “I Do!”
October 7th, 2009 at 12:25 am
MSW has provided so much inspiration to me. I have looked at a lot of the ideas and images from their website, magazine and books to inspire the look and feel of my wedding. I love their DIY ideas and especially enjoy looking at the real weddings, it’s so great to see how some of the ideas have been implemented!
October 7th, 2009 at 10:15 am
Oh my goodness, I would LOVE to go to this event! Aside from all the beautiful, inspirational weddings, what I love most about MSW is how attainable the DIY projects are. I really enjoy reading about all the projects and seeing how they are used for weddings.
October 7th, 2009 at 10:32 am
I LOVE Martha, Darcy, and everything about that magazine! I have been collecting them since I was a little girl, probably near the start of the magazine. I am now a wedding stationery designer, and I look to MSW as my main source of inspiration. Please pick me!!
October 7th, 2009 at 11:03 am
I have adored Martha since I was growing up in Maine. When I learned that she had a summer house nearby, I begged my mother to drive me there so I could bring her some homemade cookies! (She promised she would, but still hasn’t…) I work in corporate event planning and whenever I am feeling blue about boring tasks like scheduling A/V equipment, I turn to Martha Stewart Weddings and she cheers me up every time! Now that my friends are getting engaged (and hopefully me soon!) I already have a million photos and ideas stockpiled in different folders, set and ready to be put to good use! I will be forever grateful to Martha.

There is no doubt that Martha Stewart weddings is a incredible source of creativity with a simplistic feel to it. Currently being in the pre-engagement phase, aka the dream phase MSW seems to always be the first step in gaining inspiration. Working with a wide range of stylistic brides daily MSW has given me ideas to provide for them and a hope that most ideas really can become reality. This would be a incredible opportunity to attend this event, being in the heart of my planning process.
October 7th, 2009 at 12:26 pm
Martha Stewart Weddings – thank you for all the amazingly wonderful ideas. I was initially quite stressed to be planning a wedding in approx 11 months – but the inspiration and ideas have instilled calm (in myself and carrying over to the mother of the bride and the bridal party). Thank you!

Oh my, where to begin…MSW was not only THE inspiration for my wedding but for so many parties and special events in my life! I was married in 1998, began buying the mag back then and have NEVER missed an issue since. I had the most spectacular 40th birthday celebration a few weeks ago and ALL of the “wonderment” found in MSW played a significant roll! Thank you MSW…what a treat it would be to join you on your special day!
October 7th, 2009 at 1:23 pm
Thanks for the memories Martha! MSW was an inspiration when I planned my wedding 8 years ago. Now that I am in events planning I still read every issue knowing that I’ll find inspiration for not only weddings but special events.
October 7th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
The Martha Stewart seating arrangement tool that is available on the website has literally SAVED MY LIFE.
October 7th, 2009 at 2:46 pm
MSW magazine is great. It inspired many of the details to the wedding of my dreams! Thanks MSW.
October 7th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
My husband and I found no better magazine to help with the planning of our wedding in NY. We would love to return to celebrate a successful union at the anniversary party!
October 7th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
MSW tops all the other magazines in terms of not just ideas and inspiration, but tips for execution. no one should plan a wedding – or any special party – without first consulting Martha.
October 7th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
I adore Martha Stewart look to her as a true inspiration to the women of so many generations. Working in event planning, MSW is always a dependable source to turn to for unique ideas. I envy her wealth of knowledge and creativity.. she truly knows how to host any type of event and make it special.
October 7th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
i love martha for the fantasy of it all. yes, i would like 200 handmade doily place cards at my wedding. yes, if i made them they would come out like a 4th grade valentine, but that doesn’t stop be from reading every step and fantasizing about it. i have read martha stewart weddings before my wedding and will read it after the wedding simply because it’s fun to dream.
October 7th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Although I have not planned my wedding (yet) Martha Stewart has continuously inspired me in my designs, home decor, baking and crafts throughout the last few years. I am an avid reader of her Weddings and Living magazines and always look to her amazing website when I need a good craft jump start.
I would LOVE to attend this event! Please put me down as an entry… crossing my fingers! xo
October 7th, 2009 at 7:46 pm
One important design element from my wedding day was tucking leaf seating cards into the napkin fold. There’s actually a picture of me while I’m getting ready holding my binder open with clipped MSW image inside. So needless to say, the power of Martha was definitely with me on my wedding day!
October 7th, 2009 at 9:15 pm
I would have LOVED to have had access to MSW when I was a bride…42 years ago. Fortunately I have a 2 young women that I’ve been able to plan weddings for…my daughter and my daughter-in-law. The great joy in both weddings, other than adding two wonderful people into our family, was being able to make each one very special, very different from the other. Your magazine covered both arenas we used – a beautiful church and our lovely lawn. These could have been simple, inexpensive events. But with the use of the myriad of ideas you put forth in MSW we were able to plan gorgeous, elegant weddings…without breaking the bank. We were ALL happy with the results…including my sweet husband.
October 7th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
Oh, Martha Stewart Weddings. What beauty.
This magazine has been a part of my life for a long time. When I was back in high school, I spent one Friday evening learning how to make a bouquet of roses from its pages (a little sad, I know
. Even living in Morocco after college, I had my parents bring over the most current issue! So, after years of devouring this magazine, I was finally able to plan my own wedding last July. MSW guided me through finding everything…our stationary, the bouquets and ribbon ( based off of Lily and John Harrington’s wedding), our favor boxes, and much more…the resource pages were my friend. I love that the magazine has always featured a variety of weddings…small and large, fancy and rustic. Here’s to 15 more years!
October 7th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
I would love to be able to attend this event! I think the magazine has so many great D.I.Y. tips that are as beautiful as they are do-able by the average person… that’s really important!
October 8th, 2009 at 1:24 am
With its beautiful photography and endless DIY projects, MSW never fails as my go-to resource for inspiration, planning, decorating, and entertaining. It’s perfect for a crafty/artsy person like myself. And now that I’m engaged, I’m noting idea after idea. It’s sure to be attached to my hip as I embark on what my best friend calls my ultimate creative superbowl!
October 8th, 2009 at 9:01 am
The magazine has inspired many beautiful ideas that has helped friends stay within their budget while still having the wedding of their dreams.
October 8th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
One of the things I was most excited about after getting engaged is the fact that I can now “officially” buy MSW without feeling like I’m cheating! All of the ideas I’ve been collecting from the magazine over the years are going to make this my dream day. Thanks MSW!
October 8th, 2009 at 3:37 pm
Martha Stewart has always been THE innovator in everything creative. When I got married in 1998, my family was going through a rough time. There was not a lot of money and my fiancé and I basically financed our wedding along with supporting our two children. MSW provided us the tools we needed to make our dream day come true! Thank you Martha! Without your publications, our wedding was spectacular!
October 8th, 2009 at 7:38 pm
I have been obsessed with Martha Stewart EVER since I was a young girl. The DIY crafts, the decorating inspiration, the cooking — and now that I am planning my wedding, the wedding inspiration! I would love to bring my own personal Martha Stewart, the woman helping me through this crazy, but amazing wedding planning process, my mother to this FABULOUS event. She’s the one who started this obsession anyway!
October 8th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
MSW is simply in a class of it’s own when it comes to providing readers with the newest and greatest trends in wedding design and planning. MSW is an outstanding magazine and continues to be an asset to industry insiders and DIY wedding planners alike. Here’s to many more inspiring issues to come!
October 9th, 2009 at 12:21 am
MSW was my go to guide for everything from planning my time line to sending out my thank yous. I saved each issue that I used to plan my wedding. The pages may be tattered and torn but the memories that come flooding back every time I peek at them are so special.
October 9th, 2009 at 3:21 am
I just got married a few months ago and MSW was such a big source of inspiration to me! My sister and I would always look through MSW for their DIY ideas to see how we can have a beautiful and elegant wedding to fit my budget. We ended up making all the invitations, placecards, printed materials, gift boxes, etc. I also look to MSW for ideas on color palettes, themes, and designs when making cakes for my cake business!
October 9th, 2009 at 9:21 am
Reading Martha Weddings helped me to feel confident standing by my philosophy that a wedding should be stylish yet well-edited, handmade but not too homemade, and incorporate tiny details that reflect the couple and their personalities. The most-inspiring section of each issue is always the incredible cakes.
October 9th, 2009 at 9:56 am
MSW is the most inspiring magazine. The magazine includes so many ideas on how to personalize your wedding without killing your budget. It really seems that each of the writers tries to put his/her personal touch into every article and segment. I can’t wait to read each issue when it arrives each month. A few weeks ago I had been working late and it was around 1:30 AM in the morning. I couldn’t keep my eyes open, but then noticed that my fiance had picked up this month’s issue in the mail. Even though I was very tired, I had to stay awake and read through the issue

It seems like each of the MSW writers puts his/her personal touch into every segment. Last week, I was working late and it was about 1:30 in morning. I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I’ve planned a number of weddings with help from Martha’s many publications, mine is yet to come. But I know exactly what my cake will look like thanks to a Martha Stewart Magazine “Good Thing” article about edible flowers to decorate a cake. I found it 15 years ago! Love it!

Martha Stewart Weddings is only my favorite publication in the world! My mother has been collecting and saving them for me for years, I think she has every issue. They are such a source of inspiration and I would LOVE to go to this event!
October 9th, 2009 at 2:21 pm
I admit that I’ve been buying the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine for years now, even though I just got engaged this past March.
I’m so glad to have an excuse to keep buying those magazines – her pictorials and DIY ideas make even a DIY newbee like myself feel like a pro!
October 9th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
I am a professional wedding and event planner, and when I planned by own wedding, MARTHA was a huge inspiration. My invitations, escort cards, menus, centerpieces, and thank-you cards were all hand-made. One particular article about wedding jewelry in an issue of MS Weddings was so influential on me that I ordered (2) back copies just to have on hand.
October 9th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
I love Martha Stewarts wedding magazine and website because she really knows how to inspire me to take my wedding to the next level of creativeness. I’m happy that i can create things now that i never thought possible.
October 9th, 2009 at 4:09 pm
Martha has made planning a wedding just a little less stressful for me. I work two jobs and go to school full time, and with only barely 8 months to plan a wedding on a budget of only $3000, the ideas from Martha Stewart Weddings has really made a beautiful wedding possible for me. Her DIY projects are perfect for any budget and the more expensive bits of lovely inspiration are easy to recreate if you don’t have the catch.
I will definitely continue to buy the magazine even after I’m married!
October 9th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Martha inspired me to become a wedding professional. I work as an Event Specialist for Longwood Events in Newport, RI. She also inspired my own wedding this past June. She helped me realize patterns can be mixed as long as there is a common color pallate. I used her template to make my paper pinwheel escort cards. Please see them at: http://www.kristinspencer.com/blog.cfm?postID=68
October 9th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
I was totally opposed to bridal mags of any kind, but then I saw MSW. Turns out I was wrong! I’ve got dozens of pages marked, and tons of ideas germinating.
October 9th, 2009 at 8:42 pm
I am a DIY bride and MSW has so many great ideas! She has ideas for elegant evening affairs as well as casual afternoon weddings. It almost makes me want to become a wedding planner.
October 9th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Martha has the best ideas for brides on any budget. I particularly love her tissue paper pom-poms!
October 10th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
I’ve always been a crafter who loves weddings. MSW has been a source of inspiration since college and I don’t think I’ve ever missed an issue. The thing is, I am not married myself. But I’ve happily designed invitations, table numbers, favors, and calligraphed envelopes for so many of my married friends. I loved contributing to their weddings so much and I do it solely DIY with my giddy, humble craft spirit, as nurtured and encouraged by Martha.
October 11th, 2009 at 2:12 am
I think Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine is definitely a great resource for wedding ideas, tips, and information. I love looking through all the great photos and I would love to attend the event.
October 11th, 2009 at 8:41 am
I started to subscribe to Martha Stewart Weddings in 1999 when I was in college. When we bought our house a few years ago my partner of 8 years, refused to carry the boxes with my collection! My love for the magazine came full circle this past week when I was reading the latest issue and on the last page, they had a picture of my first (of what would be many) dream dresses from a 1999 issue. I squealed with delight. MSW has helped me make special projects for the weddings of my friends and sister and will undoubtedly shape my special day in so many ways.
October 11th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
This is awesome! I’m a budget bride and I’m planning to do a lot of the wedding details myself. Martha Stewart has always been my go-to place for entertaining ideas and inspiration. So as soon as I started looking for help and ideas for my wedding, I turned to MSW. I love how MSW includes instructions and templates for most of their ideas.
October 12th, 2009 at 9:07 am
MSW was always a huge inspiration in my life. When it came to my own wedding I had a binder filled with pages from the MSW magazine. I could hardly wait to get the new issues. I would hang them up and make inspiration boards. From the photos to the fresh concepts, MSW has always been a constant creative source in my crafty way of life.
October 12th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
A meringue cake in the most recent MSW became the inspiration point for my entire wedding. It’s the only bridal magazine I’ll actually read, rather than flip through while watching television. It’s certainly the only one I make my fiance read! (Okay… look at).
Anyway, I would be squealingly happy to attend the event.
