Photo favorites: April Reed

OK, so I asked for 1 favorite, but some people sent 2 favorites, so how could I resist?

Here’s April from April Reed Cake Design:

The first is a cake for a brides who I just LOVED because she was such a
sweet, sweet gal. I adore the photo because it was a design I didn’t think
much of one way or the other. However, when the cake came into being, I
thought it was one of the loveliest cakes ever! It took my breath away and
reminded me (and one needs it now and again), how powerful understatement
can be. It was a good, much-needed reminder.

The second was snapped at the Central Park Boathouse last

summer. I love the photo because it was a BEAUTIFUL day in September. I

was absolutely exhausted from a busy summer of cakes but just loving being
right there, right then.
