Save the Date: Randi + Nate
My fiance Nate is a musican and growing up as a child of the ’80s, I absolutely loved mix tapes. I thought this would be the perfect way to get everyone excited for our wedding (and to realize that we’re aiming for fun, not total formality.) My friend Skott Johnson of InkHabit design (www.ragejohnson.com) put these together for us based on my idea and he designed our invitations as well. He’s a talented graffiti artist, so I wanted him to use his own handwriting for the label and the back side of the cards. We also made minor changes to the actual front of the tape: We changed the red box at the bottom to say NYC/09 and decided to write “continuous signal” rather than the “Normal Bias…” it said. I attached the original photo of the tape to show you the changes we made.
We got these printed online at VistaPrint (www.vistaprint.com) for a steal! They were $47.78 total with shipping and tax for 250 postcards. People absolutely loved them and everyone says they’re still hanging on the refrigerator because they’re so cute.

haha…i just sent this to my fiance because i thought it was such a cool idea (especially for us music geeks) and he was like “uh, that’s the dude in sam’s (our buddy) band”! Awesome! I wish we could afford to send actual mixtapes to everyone. That would be rad.
