Wedding Photography Unveiled giveaway

I was pretty amazed when last week I received an email from photographer Jose Villa about this new book that PDN put out called Wedding Photography Unveiled [he shot the cover and is featured in the book].  Written by Jacqueline Tobin, its a great look into what really goes into wedding photography, and features the work of 20 amazing photographers from all over.  I received my copy the other day [its quite beautiful!] and Jose is letting me give away a copy to one of you lucky readers!  Leave a comment below on who YOUR dream photographer would be if you could do it all over again, and a winner will be picked at random and announced on Friday.  Thanks Jose!  [if you just can't wait, the book is available on Amazon for purchase]

Lisa Lefkowitz in SF. Elegant, clean and beautiful.

Although I love Jose Villa’s beautiful work, I would have to choose another photographer featured in the Wedding Photography Unveiled Book. I love Elizabeth Messina for the way she manages to capture everything from the tiny details to the excited feeling at every wedding. Can’t wait to see the book!

This book is so great! I would have to say that having already experienced the customer service of my own photographer, Benfield Photography in Fayetteville,AR , I wouldn’t ever want anyone else! Not only does he take you to dinner and single you out anytime he sees you, but he has went above and beyond to help me throughout my planning experience. He had a planner friend recommend venues to me and he had an AWESOME party and awards event called “The Benny Awards” complete with signature drinks, paparazzi on the carpet, and it was free to all his 2008 – 2009 couples. He promises to turn around your photo proofs before he starts his next wedding and I couldn’t ask for better photographs! http://www.benfieldphotography.net

  25. Stefanie Says:

It would be a tie between Becker and Jasmine Star in Orange County, CA.

  26. mindy L Says:

i would love to have jose villa!!! my fiance and i are trying to keep our wedding under a budget but we’re debating whether to splurge on jose.

  27. Natalie Says:

There are so many talented photographers, but I truly love the work of Meg Smith. Her images are so real and in the moment. The pictures are so romantic and beautiful. It would be a dream to have her photograph my wedding…or any event for that matter!

  28. Julie Gonzalez Says:

Since I live in Southern California I would definitely do Jose Villa! =)

  29. Sarah Says:

I do love the work of Jose Villa!

  30. Jen Evans Says:

I can’t comment on what I would do differently, but I can comment on what I like: candid, creative and honest photography. These shots look beautiful!

  31. Taysha Urquhart Says:

Jose Villa!! I love his work :)

  32. Kasia Says:

WITHOUT a doubt, it would be Ben Chrisman. I am still in serious depression that I am unable to afford him. His pictures make me want to cry and laugh at the same time.

  33. Kibian Says:

My sister Sue-she was an amateur photographer who told me the secret to good photography was to see the unusual in the mundane. She left us in 2006-I hope she can see how truly happy I am now…

  34. Lisa Says:

I would choose Jasmine Star as my photographer. So much beauty and fun in her photographs!

  35. K @ BlogGoggles Says:

I’m not married yet, but how about Tim Walker? That would be one crazy wedding album!

  36. Bonnie Says:

I love to look at blogs by Sarah K Chen, Jerry Yoon, Laura Novak, Jessica Johnson and Jessica Claire. If money were not an option, I’d love to have one of them shoot my wedding.

  37. Events by Evonne Says:

Wow, that’s a really tough question… I have been thinking about it ‘cuz I want to have a vow renewal one of these days, and I think I will have a very hard time selecting my “favorite” photographer. I love all of them – Jose Villa, Mike Colon, Gene Higa, Ann Hamilton, [b]ecker, Jessica Claire, Jasmine Star, Elizabeth Messina, Ben Chrisman, Louis Pang, Brook & Alisha Todd… gosh, I can go on and on. I really don’t know who I’d pick. Are they all listed in this book? :)

  38. Taryn Says:

Nate and Jaclyn of The Image is Found are amazing and seem like they would be so fun to work with!

  39. Le Says:

We used RossJacob out of MA and loved our pictures. They really found ways to make the intimidating process of taking pictures fun. We even climbed a tree before the ceremony. Amy and Will were a dream come true for us.

  40. Becky S Says:

Anne Ruthmann – I love her work that she showcases on Weddingbee Pro. More importantly she just seems like someone you could instantly get along with.

  41. Jen Says:

I loved the photographs Simply Photography took of our wedding last year. Gabby and Benji were such a joy to work with. A lot of our friends commented that they thought G & B were fellow guests and were very friendly. But if I had to resources and could do it all over again; I would love for Jose Villa or Tec Petaja to shoot our wedding or engagement photos.

  42. Elisha S. Says:

Jose Villa is my number one dream photographer. I love his style. I also love The Image is Found, Jessica Claire, Leigh Miller, Heesyun Ruettgers and (more recently) Max Wanger. Actually, I think my list could go on forever….but Mr. Villa is #1.

  43. Cathie K. Says:

My dream photographer would be Amelia Lyon! I love the vintage style but sharpness of their photography! And they seem like an easy-going, down-to-earth, family-loving couple :]

  44. ThickChick Says:

If I could choose any I’d go with Amelia Lyon, I think… but I stalk so many! Due to budget constraints, I’m going with a talented local instead…fingers crossed!

  45. AnnieBelle Says:

I love Elizabeth Messina and Nicole Hill Gerulat’s work – so incredible. This book looks amzing…

  46. Lorena B Says:

It would be TEC PETAJA – he is doing outstanding wedding photography! If only!!!!

  47. Nicole-Lynn Says:

  48. Andrea Says:

I live in UK and have been researching photographers for my wedding. I came across those 2 guys from London – love their work. http://www.exquisitephoto.co.uk

  49. Alli Coate Says:

I wish that I could get Max Wagner to shoot our wedding!

  50. Natalie Says:

We found our dream photographer …My fiance Liam and I do not have great deal of money to spend on our wedding. He is currently a graphic design student at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (I’m an Art History grad working in Special Education), so I posted a “wanted” ad on the school’s website. Kim, a graduate of the school, e-mailed me and as soon as we met and saw her work, we knew she was perfect! Artistic, quirky, intuitive …we couldn’t be happier!

  51. kristin Says:

My all time favorites are Amelia Lyons, Our Labor of Love and Max Wanger. Nothing else compares.

  52. Kelvin Says:

Love to read the book to learn more!

  53. Daryl Says:
