Denise Fasanello did the flowers for my wedding. From our first meeting, I knew I had chosen the right person for the job. Denise listened to my vision and then added her creativity and expertise. The end result was floral arrangements that were so exciting and unique that people are still complimenting me on them (its been 7 months since the wedding)! It was also a pleasure doing business with Denise. She was professional and excited about what she was doing. I always tell friends getting married that they have to call Denise. She’s the best!

Wow! Denise did an incredible job with our flowers and the space looked absolutely stunning. I knew it would look good but it far exceeded our expectations. I kept going into the hall to admire the arrangement on the card table. The peonies were perfect. They were so bright and lush and worked beautifully with the space. Denise does incredible work.

I hired Denise Fasanello for my September 13 wedding and I cannot sing her praises enough. As designers, my husband and I had a very strong vision of what we wanted our wedding to look like and Denise understood what we were going for right away. We were able to explain what we wanted and hand over the project to Denise, who had great ideas and a ton of enthusiasm. She created little sketches to show her ideas, made an inspiration board, and did mockups a few days before our wedding. Flowers were the one element of our wedding I was able to hand off and not worry about. On the day of the wedding, she really delivered – the final result was outstanding! I’m still getting compliments on our flowers. I keep telling her I wish I had more events to plan so I could work with her again! I’ve recommended her to anyone who even mentions the word “flower” to me.

Denise did the flowers and decor for my August 2008 wedding at Pochron Studios in Brooklyn, and I was absolutely thrilled with her work. I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted, and it turned out all the better because of Denise’s smart input and ideas. Her warm, gracious, no-nonsense manner was very refreshing compared to the starchy false enthusiasm I encountered in many other wedding vendors. Even my husband, who knows nothing about flowers except to buy me some on Valentine’s Day, remarked on how beautiful my bouquet and our table arrangements looked. Kudos Denise! She has my highest recommendation.

Our Hampton’s beach wedding was truly a magical day. Denise had designed our flowers and they were absolutely gorgeous. She had proposed we have high vases of cymbidums orhids and arrangements with roses, arrunculas, hydrangeas and peonies. We had carried the beach theme with sea shells and candles filled with beach sand. Our cake was simply decorated with orchids and ribbon. No detail was overlooked, she did a beautiful job and comes highly reccommended.

Denise was an incredible partner in making our October beach wedding in Maine memorable and gorgeous. She stepped up to every challenge, especially our fast-track schedule and modest budget. She brought flowers with her from New York and worked with local suppliers which was important to us; she put everything together for our outdoor wedding on a very foggy, misty Maine day without complaint or stress. She designed rich and spectacular autumnal arrengements, bouquets and cake by selecting beautiful seasonal and local flowers, branch and berries to perfectly capture the intimacy of our event. Most important, Denise created an environment for the oceanside ceremony and the tented brunch afterward that brought elegance and sumptuous color to the party and left everyone dazzled. Denise is an amazing designer who clearly loves her work. I heartily and wholly reccommend her for your wedding!

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Denise Fasanello create the flowers for our September 2009 wedding in Brooklyn. From my first e-mail contact with Denise, through several meetings, through the wedding day itself, Denise was accessible, professional, and completely amenable to working with any and all of our requests, from budget to design choices. And of course the flowers were absolutely amazing—even more gorgeous than I could have hoped for. We still get compliments on them six months later! I would highly recommend Denise to anyone looking for an exceptional floral designer.

Denise is exactly the florist that all brides should consider first and only. I have an intense and exact vision about many things I want to achieve. Finding a florist to meet my high expectations of quality and beauty I thought would be impossible. Also, since my wedding date and the beginning of my search were only months apart. Finding Denise was an amazing thing. She met me at the venue, listened to my ideas, helped in making decisions regarding the tables and dinner set up and offered great ideas for favors. It is so evident Denise is passionate about what she does. She was gracious and creative and most importantly, patient. I received a contract listing all that we discussed, and she definitely delivered. The arrangements were beautiful. She was able to create wonderful designs centered around my desire for branchy, lush, fresh spring new. They definitely added even more elegance and beauty to the ambience of Water’s Edge in Long Island City, something I didn’t think possible. I will definitely recommend this talented designer for all events – not just weddings.

My husband and I hired Denise to do the flowers for our October 2009 wedding and we both think she did an amazing job. We were choosing between three different florists all who were willing to work within our limited budget. We were most impressed with Denise due to her design aesthetic and her professionalism. When my husband and I met with her, she took the time to look at photos of our venue and was flexible in providing flower arrangements for different size tables that wouldn’t be finalized until a couple of weeks before the wedding. She also made helpful suggestions on how to make the most out of our limited budget. I was fully confident that she would execute the flower arrangements and bridal flowers flawlessly and we were not disappointed. On the day of the wedding, all the flowers arrived on time and looked gorgeous. Denise did a fabulous job and went above and beyond the terms of our contract by setting up our reception cards and candles on the reception table. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a floral designer for their wedding.

Denise created the flowers for my wedding at the Bowery Hotel this past Saturday. It is hard for me to put into words how thankful I am and how beautiful the flowers turned out. I received sooo many compliments on her work!!
I found her here on Brooklyn Bride. I went into her studio with a very specific idea about what I wanted for the centerpieces and she definitely delivered. There were several other areas, such as the escort card arrangement, where I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted. Her suggestions were perfect. She was also very patient when I changed my mind about a hundred times before my wedding. She didn’t blink when a few days before the wedding, I asked if she could provide extra flowers for my cake. I was obsessed with anemones for my bouquet and she was able to find some for me, despite the fact that they were completely out of season.
Besides being professional and courteous, she is a very warm and engaging person. It‘s obvious that she loves what she does and that love really comes through in her work.
We are having a second small ceremony later this year and I absolutely will ask her to work with us again.

I placed a rather small order for our city hall wedding with Denise. After initially agreeing to do it, she then disappeared for a week. When I finally reached her over the phone – she reconfirmed that everything is on, only to abruptly cancel 5 days later.
I wouldn’t wish it upon anybody to be stranded with no flowers 2 weeks before the wedding after you turned down all the other floristst. Perhaps she is better at fulfilling larger orders, but her work ethic is questionable to say the least.

To add to my disappointment – she has been disputing all the reviews I am leaving of her, even though I warned her that I was going to do that in response to her cancellation. That is not even unprofessional, it is plain pathetic!

  12. Nathan Says:

I am Aleks fiancé (the review above) and can confirm that Denise agreed to do our flowers, then abruptly changed her mind two weeks before the wedding. Ours may be only a small wedding, but it is OUR wedding day nevertheless, and we wanted the flowers to be perfect. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. To then get bad reviews removed because no transaction took place is a joke. The reason no transaction took place is because Denise changed her mind.

A wedding is a stressful experience, no matter the size, and this kind of unprofessional attitude is the last thing I would ever want to deal with again, and would warn any other couples from using her. The flowers may be beautiful, but the attitude stinks.

  13. Stella Says:

Denise is such a talented floral designer! She truly added a touch of magic to our wedding day. We planned a glamorous vintage themed wedding and her beautiful bouquets, centerpieces and altar/reception arrangements perfectly set the mood we were trying to create. She made us a paper flower “tree” using recycled branches and classical music sheets, she found the perfect white peacock feathers and mercury glass vases to add a note of whimsy to the reception, and (best of all) surprised me with a gorgeous show-stopper flower in my bouquet. We were especially grateful that she worked within our budget without compromising on style, attention to detail or service. She even took the time to do a site visit and study my inspiration board. Denise was open to my ideas but also brought her artist’s eye to the design, delivering an elegant, lush and unforgettable array of flowers. I’d recommend her in a heart beat!
