Real Brooklyn Winery wedding: Laura + William
Lots of color pops in this Brooklyn Winery wedding…check out all the details from the bride below.
From the onset of planning our wedding our main goals were to throw an event that we would want to attend. The list of musts included great wine, food, music and some personal touches. As soon as we finished our first glass of wine at The Brooklyn Winery we knew that it was the place to host our celebration. They exceeded all of our expectations, including referring us to our photographer, Rima Campbell, who documented the night’s festivities along with vision and flare. Both Rima and The Brooklyn Winery recommended Magnolia Photobooth Company to us, which I immediately knew we had to add to the mix, they provided a great form of entertainment as well as a personal keepsake for many of our guests.
Our ceremony started with a heart felt version of “Till There Was You” performed by Sarah King and The Smoke Rings, who went on to provide perfect sound track to our evening. Due to my love for ice cream, we skipped the cake and capped off the festivities with ice cream and coffee service from Van Leeuwen.
In my eyes our wedding was a complete success. We were married by my brother, who was ordained for the occasion, and my now husband wrote our ceremony and vows. All of the signage and invitations were personally designed by me to fit the feel and tone of our occasion. The day exceeded all of my expectations, from the amazing flowers my sister-in-law arranged to photobooth pictures with my newly official in-laws. The fears that I had during the planning process, mainly of finding myself a bride at a stiff, exceedingly expensive, stuffy and simply “not me” wedding, were completely unwarranted. The event was a light-hearted and genuine way to celebrate the love and commitment of our relationship. From start to finish our wedding was completed with the love and help of our friends and families, we truly could not have done it without them all.
