Who says spikes aren’t appropriate for a wedding? I love the juxtaposition of tough metals against a soft white dress. Jewelry designers are now mixing spikes with semi-precious metals and stones to create pieces that are not only appropriate on your wedding day, but versatile enough to wear again and again. I’m not personally a fan of spiked necklaces (mainly because I feel like I’m going to hurt myself with them), but I see what you mean about putting tough metal and soft cloth together. They would look visually appealing. The Phi Style pieces look really nice, too. Topmost right on the photo would be my favorite from the set. C:

I think it’s a way to add a bit of edge without going too crazy. I love this Stella & Dot one because it’s a little more refined and delicate. It’s great layered too!
