Simple white cake

For weeks I’ve been practicing icing and baking this cake for a party I hosted this weekend and I’m happy to report it paid off (thank you Kitchenaid mixer!!)!  Whipped up a couple of cake flags while I was at it…super easy with ribbon, washi tape and a couple of bamboo skewers.
