Real wedding: Miho + Heedae
Wedding photographer Miho Aikawa and her husband Heedae had a beautifully simple Brooklyn wedding that was modern yet soft at the same time. Its just gorgeous, dont you think?
My husband I got married on May 17th, 2010 and it was a beautiful warm spring day in Brooklyn, NY. We wanted to have a homey and relaxed wedding and the entire wedding was planned by ourselves and close friends. I was lucky to have many great photographer friends helping out on our wedding day. We enjoyed the shooting we had in DUMBO before the ceremony. My husband I both grew up in Japan, so we wanted to put some essence of Japanese culture in our wedding: We decorated the wedding with Japanese Origami to give the taste of Japan, and our rings were handmade by a Japanese Jewelry Company. We toasted with Japanese Sake as well.

How lucky can a couple get, being photographers themselves then having photographer friends record the wedding, too! And that ivory-on-ivory palette for the reception with those graceful tulip arrangements…just so elegant and tasteful!
