Real wedding: Marketa + Andrew

Marketa and Andrew’s wedding is the perfect mix of classy and modern, and seriously, how perfect is the Foundry??

Andrew and I were married on August 14th, 2010. We wanted a small, intimate New York City  wedding but still wanted it to feel like a Big party. We are both very busy, so we immediately decided we needed to keep everything local in our beloved Long Island City. The venue we chose was the Foundry, which set the stage for the whole feel of the wedding.  We kept decor simple and rustic, and only used flowers and candles to decorate, leaving  the rest up to the beautiful Venue. The grand finale was a surprise, and sealed it as a true New York City wedding, a checker cab ride over the Queensboro Bridge.

Might I ask where you were able to get a checkered cab from??? That is the most fabulous surprise ending my fiance and I are looking for for our big day in the big apple in October!

    Hi Kira,
I’m not sure where exactly they got the cab from, it was a gift from her sister.
I know that he’s located in Brooklyn and that the cab was in When Harry Met Sally.
    Thanks,
    Stephanie
