Real wedding: Suzanne + Paul

Suzanne & Paul did New York City up right with their wedding…ceremony up at a stylish hotel rooftop, and the reception at a stylish eatery!
We tied the knot with our current hometown and favorite city as backdrop at the Cooper Square Hotel. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The penthouse space with its overwhelming views of downtown Manhattan was the perfect vessel for our moving ceremony officiated by a friend ordained for the wedding. Our intimate group of 98 then paraded three blocks to Butter restaurant for a family-style feast by the amazing chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Tiny birch logs I sanded by hand and stamped with guests’ names served as placecards, and tapered candles and vintage wine glasses culled from thrift stores worked as simple centerpieces. The evening unfolded with one beautiful memory after another as the laughter, heartfelt words and exuberant dancing went on late into the night. Highlights included a surprise groom’s cake shaped like our dog Milo jumping out a present, and a sweet ending when our party tumbled into the street where an ice cream truck provided by our friends at Heartsrevolution awaited.
